Welcome to the official site of educational center TIFERET ZVI. Jewish education is our top most priority. Here in TIFERET ZVI we believe that if we want to help a Jew return to his roots, we must first find a path to his heart. Our main goal is to bring the meaning of being Jewish and reveal the wealth of our heritage to Jews of every walk of life – school children, students, adults - all those who participate in our programs and classes. Most probability, even those of you who are familiar with Georgia and its capital, Tbilisi, are lacking in sufficient knowledge of its Jewish community. The Georgian Jewish community, however, has always been outstanding in its steadfast commitment to its heritage and traditions among all the other Jewish communities of the FSU. The functioning of synagogues, celebration of Jewish holidays and love for our tradition have continued uninterrupted among the Jews of Georgia even during the dark years of Soviet regime. This site is dedicated to the Jewish community of Georgia: its history, its everyday life, individual people and educational institutions.
